2013 day one

First blog entry for the 2013 junior nationals. We spent the day traveling yesterday.  When we arrived in Utah, it was raining. We were hoping it would turn to snow by the time we got to Park City, but no such luck. No matter, today will be our first ski day. It's supposed to be sunny and 28 degrees today. Can't ask for much better than that. Today we just need to get Shane registered and then we will spend the day getting to know the mountain. It looks like Shane will just be skiing big air this year. The big air competition is being held at the Utah Olympic Park. The same place they held most of the Olympic events in 2002. He can't start practicing over there until Wednesday so we are just going to ski and he will practice with the team on the slopestyle course in case he makes it in as an alternate. (There is still a chance he might get into the slopestyle comp) I'll get some video today and try to get something more interesting posted tonight.
